5 HACKS FOR OILY HAIR

08:34:00

Hello! everyone, today I am going to share 5 hacks for all you ladies with an oily scalp. These are some things that I have
tried and tested and will work wonderfully if you wish to get rid of that grease from your mane.
1. Dry Shampoo is your BFF.
If you have oily hair, then you NEED dry shampoo. On second day or third-day hair, just spray some dry shampoo on the roots by lifting your hair up in sections. Then rub your hair for 2 minutes so that it soaks up all the gunk, and you're sorted. It adds a lot of volume to your hair and keeps you from washing your hair too often. I am actually inseparable from my BBLUNT Back to Life Dry Shampoo. It's one of my holy grail products and I highly recommend it. It comes in two sizes, the smaller one is perfect for travelling with.

How To Use the BBLUNT Back to Life Dry Shampoo:
Shake the dry shampoo bottle well before you use it.

Lift a thin section of your hair from either side of your head and the crown section. Then spray the dry shampoo generously onto your scalp.
Rub the dry shampoo into your scalp by massaging it in using your fingers for at least two minutes.
And that's it, you'll notice a HUGE difference in your hair. It will look instantly lifted, and less greasy. Can you tell that this is my third-day hair?
2. Use a Volumising Shampoo & Conditioner.
If you have very oily hair, your hair might look very limp and lifeless. Using a volumising shampoo like the BBLUNT Full On Volume Shampoo and Conditioner helps in not only removing the excess oil but also adding volume and body to your hair. If you use a very nourishing/conditioning shampoo, it will leave your hair feeling heavier, and dull.

3. Don't apply conditioner on your scalp.
Apply conditioner only on the lower third of your hair and avoid applying it on your scalp. Whenever you're washing your hair, just shampoo the scalp and then rinse it out, followed by conditioner for 2-3 minutes just on the tips. If you apply conditioner on your scalp, it will make it oily and irritated. So avoid doing this every time you wash your hair.

4. Don't over wash your hair.
Over washing your hair, i.e. washing it too frequently can actually make your scalp oilier. The more you strip it of its natural oil, the more oil it will produce to compensate. It might be difficult to change this habit at first, but try and increase the gap one day at a time.
The best gap is from 3-4 days. Once you've trained your hair, you'll truly see a difference.

5. Stop using hot water to wash your hair.
Washing your hair using hot water makes your scalp really dry, which in turn makes your scalp produce more oil to compensate that, so avoid doing that as much as possible. Always rinse your hair with lukewarm or cold water. This also makes your hair look shinier.

These were my top 5 hacks for oily hair. These are things you can easily incorporate into your life, even with a busy schedule. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
